Explore the Universe with us
At Norwich Astronomical Society we aim to promote and advance public knowledge in the Science of Astronomy as well as provide access to the Societies facilities for members who wish to practice Astronomy. We are passionate about astronomy and love to share it with others safely. We will be doing this through events (see the Events calendar) some of which will be open to the public later in the year, others for members only, either online or at the observatory (depending on circumstances and conditions). We also actively support outreach activities when possible and safe to do so.
Membership
Joining our Society has many benefits including access to the site facilities and equipment. Members can be trained to use our broad range of telescopes. Members also have access to the Societies online Cygnus magazine, discussion groups including notification when the site is open for observing. Find out more and apply:

Group Visits
Unfortunately, we have taken the decision to stop accepting Group Visits for the coming season. All existing visits will be supported, but we are not taking any further bookings at this time.
Our hope and expectation is that this hiatus will be for the 2026/27 Astronomical season only.
Please come back here at the end of 2026 when an update on future plans will be posted.
