How to get to the Seething Observatory

The Norwich Astronomical Society Seething Observatory is situated to the South of Norwich adjacent to the Seething Airdrome.

The site can be reached from both the A146 (Norwich Lowestoft road), A143 (Lowestoft-Bungay road) or the B1332 (Poringland, Brooke, Kirstead, Wooton, Ditchingham road).

Access from the A146 and A143 is through narrow roads, so the most practical route is via the B1332. There is a signpost to the observatory on the B1332 at the junction with Harvey Lane. At the end of Harvey Lane continue over Upgate road into Toad Lane.

The observatory is about 300 m past the entrance to the airfield on the left.

When coming from the Thwaite direction, take Toad Lane. There is a sharp right hand bend and the observatory is about 300 m further on the right.

Postcode for GPS systems: NR35 2EQ

Most SatNav systems will direct along Lowestoft Road – A146. Take Bungay Road instead (B1332) as this is simpler route.
