The Norwich Astronomical Society held a BBQ on Friday 11th August to coincide with peak activity of the Perseid meteor shower.
We had 27 people attend the event including several new members.
The burgers and sausages went down well and we even go to see a few meteors, 5 of them in a large gap between the clouds.
We were even entertained by a ‘tumbling satellite’, something very bright with a curving path which lasted for several seconds.
Because of the success and feedback from this event we are considering holding another BBQ.
Watch the events pages for details.
