In a vast universe more than 13 billion years old and in our own Milky Way Galaxy made up of more than 200 billion stars, surely there must be life on other worlds? Yet so far, no definitive proof has been established for life beyond the Earth. In this non-technical talk aimed at a wide audience, Amateur Astronomer Adrian Orr will use some of the ideas posed by the Physicist Enrico Fermi to try and answer the question, is there intelligent life out in the universe?
