Courtesy of the Sky At Night magazine, we are showing three Web talks (on three separate Friday club nights in March, April and May) which look at Astro-photography using a DSLR.
This is the third, and focuses on attaching a DSLR to your telescope to get Deep Sky images. The focus is on simplicity and does not look at guiding or any of the more complicated techniques. The talk will be in the Cabin so that those that don’t want to watch this can use the main Clubhouse for socialising etc.
The video will start from 7.30pm for the main talk and will then pause for 15 minutes for a break/refreshments, it will then resume for the final Q&A part to allow anyone that is interested to view this.

Masterclass 3: The Deep Sky, with Dave Eagle
The third talk is all about capturing views of deep space with a DSLR camera coupled with a Telescope, revealing objects often hundreds of lightyears away in space which our eyes alone cannot see. We look at the nebulae, star clusters, galaxies and comets that a DSLR puts within reach and explain how differences between cameras and Telescopes affect their ability to capture them.
