On Saturday 9th March 2024 a talk exploring ‘From the Edge of the Universe to Next Door’ will be given by Dr Samuel Richards

This talk will be a journey through the life and career of Dr. Samuel Nathan Richards, from building novel astrophotonic telescope instruments to study galaxy evolution, to flying with NASA onboard SOFIA to study our own Milky Way, to leading the first fully commercial mission to the Moon with ispace!

The talk will be held at the Seething Observatory

The first talk will start at 7:30 pm, the second at 8:30 pm and if there is sufficient interest we will add a third talk at 9:30 pm

The observatory facilities will be open, and assuming the weather permits telescopes will be pointing into the nigh sky.

Seats for the 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm talks can be purchased at £4 for an adult and £3  for under 16.

We will only add a 9:30 pm talk if the earlier events fill up.
