SUMMARY:Cosmic Colours: What starlight tells us about their life and death - David Lumb [Members]
DESCRIPTION:David Lumb offers members a talk about how the colour of stars tell us a surprising amount of information about what powers them\, their life cycle & more.

SUMMARY:Multi‐Instrument High‐Altitude Balloon Campaign: Demonstrating Sensor Readiness for Space and Lunar Missions [Members]
DESCRIPTION:This is part of the BAA Radio Astronomy Group talks. \nFour high‐altitude balloon (HAB) flights were launched from San Antonio (TX) in June and July 2025\, each carrying distinct atmospheric and radiation sensors: photovoltaic (PV) cells\, electrochemical ozone cell\, Geiger–Müller (GM) tube\, muon detector\, UV sensor\, and gamma dose-rate sensor. Our LCATS (Lunar Caves Analog Test Sites) student cohort\, a STEM-based academic program\, assisted with payload design. Our objectives were to map the tropospheric and stratospheric structure of ozone and UV intensity\, identify the Regener–Pfotzer maximum (RPM) for radiation\, characterize relativistic muon production\, and identify gamma radiation peaks.\n\nDr. Donald M. Hooper\, Mitchell Cox\, Kathryn Bolish\, WEX Foundation Astroport Space Technologies\, Inc.\n–\nThis talk will be in the Cabin via Zoom
