SUMMARY:Quark Stars and Strange Matter
DESCRIPTION:Paul Fellows from the Cambridge Astronomical Society will deliver a talk about Quark Stars and Strange matter \nThe talk will start at 8:00 pm\, gates open from 7:30 pm \nThe usual story told of the end stage of giant stars is that they either finish up as a neutron star or collapse completely to a black hole. However\, in this talk Paul looks at the possibility for other extremely exotic forms of matter which may add to the picture – and how the latest observations seem to back up these ideas. \nTickets can be purchased below or at the door at £2/head to cover speaker costs \nThe seating capacity is 45 and ticket holder will get priority \nThe observing facilities will not intentionally be manned by volunteers which is why this talk costs less than the public events \n
